Jose! Born to Dance: The Story of Jose Limon

Jose! Born to Dance: The Story of Jose Limon is a children's book about this pioneering modern dance choreographer.

It won the Tomas Rivera Mexican-American Children's Book Award. It's a picture-book biography for Grades 2-4.

The text is very simple and too limited to satisfy an adult wanting to know more about Jose Limon - but the pictures are full of life.

  • How to sew and prepare your ballet shoes
  • What a dance belt is
  • What the typical dress code is for ballet class
